Abstract :
The control strategy of cultch engagement process for AMT vehicle starting stage was researched in this paper. Through the vehicle dynamics analysis of starting stage, the clutch engagement process was divided into five phases and targets were established according to each phase. A phased strategy of fuzzy closed-loop control was introduced and closed loop control of clutch engagement process was realized. The tests show that: for the control strategy, the starting process of vehicle can be fast and smooth under different conditions; meets the driver´s requirements.
