Abstract :
Recently, M2M (Machine-to-Machine) is a emerging technology to enhance the telecommunication market for the future. So, many global Standardization bodies (including ITU-T, ETSI, oneM2M) are actively promoting to work for making the global standards. And some of them have been worked architecture, use case and requirements for M2M service from a few years ago. However, they have some obstacles since M 2M h as a l ot o f stakeholders and is relate to a variety of industry fields such as smart home, telematics, healthcare, smart grid etc. Hence, starting to 2013, oneM2M begins in earnest to work for fundamental technical specification and ToR (Terms of Reference). Therefore, this paper proposes a service-adaptive functional architecture for M2M service from a global standardization (oneM2M) perspective. A service-adaptive functional architecture is composed of device domain, network domain and service domain to easily provide the related standards.
