Title :
Prototype design mechanical fabrication
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The prototype milling and drilling system closely parallels that used by a traditional printed circuit fabrication facility. The inputs to the system are the same that most people send to their fabrication shop: Gerber files for each layer; an aperture list that details the size and shape of each D Code; and an Excellon or NC drill file (including information on size of each tool that is included in the drill rack). When milling a circuit, instead of generating artwork we use the same Gerber files to create a mill path around the circuit that electrically isolates the circuit from the base material
