Abstract :
High gain amplifiers and functional laser devices have been realized by using Er-doped P2O5-SiO2 planar waveguides. The integration of Er-doped/undoped waveguides was demonstrated. The technology of Er-doped planar waveguide is moving towards the realization of functional integrated devices
