  • Abstract
Exhaust gas energy recovery is one of the most important means for energy saving and emission reduction on engine. By analyzing the thermal cycle process and energy flow characteristics of engine, various energy-saving technologies were evaluated, and it proved that exhaust gas energy recovery has the greatest practical significance on improving engine thermal efficiency. Then, the characteristics of exhaust gas energy flow were studied. On this basis, the technical problems and bottlenecks encountered in exhaust gas energy recovery were elaborated. Finally, a variety of methods which are used to recover exhaust gas energy of engine were introduced in detail, as well as the latest international research status and development trend. As a result, the article drew a conclusion that exhaust gas energy recovery and utilization on engine has very good application prospects.
