Abstract :
Two novel microwave filter designs are proposed. The first one involves longitudinal slots in a defected ground structure (DGS) with a microstrip line which is inclined with respect to the direction of propagation. The second design has a DGS with slots inclined with respect to the direction of propagation with a longitudinal microstrip line. Simulation and measurement results show good agreement. The fabricated filter has a compact size and is lightweight.
