Abstract :
This paper investigates the cause of radiated noise from power and ground fluctuations in the feed system, and presents an evaluation method and a simple approximate model. Radiated noise from the feed system has two causes: (1) resonance phenomena (cavity resonance) due to power and ground planes on a printed board; and (2) resonance due to the IC lead frame, IC capacitance, and output-signal load. The resonance frequencies in these two cases can be determined by measuring S11-parameters from the IC power and ground pins
