Abstract :
Some standards set an attenuation of voltage pulses in uninterrupted power systems (UPS) and protection devices. These equipment have to be tested in an accredited laboratory for a compliance check. The proposed equivalent circuit gives the possibility to calculate attenuation beforehand. Results of computer simulation of surge propagation in LC-filters help to choose a filter for protection devices
