Abstract :
Based on optimal circuit analysis in hierarchical power quad-grids (HPQGs), an iterative adjustment approach is proposed to optimize the number of power pads and assign the wire-bonding power pads onto feasible locations to release all the IR-drop conditions in HPQGs. The experimental results show that the proposed iterative adjustment approach assigns few power pads onto feasible locations to release all the IR-drop conditions in reasonable CPU time for the tested examples.
