Abstract :
The linear electromotor is a new typed, electric powered steering system, with simple composition and better performance. To satisfy the need of a certain type like this, the designing work of linear electromotor powered steering system has started. The dynamic characteristic of this composition has been thoroughly studied in the environment of MATLAB/ Simulink. The characteristics of assisted power and the dynamic reaction to the vehicle yaw velocity, when the steering wheel produces a step input, have been proved by experimentation under real vehicle situations.
