This paper identifies challenges encountered when merging video into the graphics display screen. It discusses the following topics: the advantages of multimedia in business communication; marketing challenges; overcoming conflicting video standards such as encountered in image scaling, color format conversion, and compression/decompression algorithms; and the advantages and disadvantages of various analog, digital, and hybrid design solutions
