Abstract
Waverider-based airframe/scramjet integrated configuration design for hypersonic vehicles results in strongly dynamic cross-coupling between airframe, aerodynamics and propulsion system. System modeling and controller design for this class vehicles become highly challenging. Based on 2-dimensional, inviscid and compressible flow theory, analytical modeling for longitudinal dynamics is researched for an optimized cruise missile configuration. The interactions between aerodynamics, propulsion system and structural dynamics are incorporated into the model to characterize its unique dynamic behaviors. Comprehensive nonlinear longitudinal equations of motion including analytical polynomial-fitted aerodynamic and propulsive data are presented. The model can be used for preliminary control research and mathematical simulation evaluation.
