Abstract :
There are more than 220 million diabetics in the world and 5% of global deaths was resulted from diabetes or diabetes complications. The cost of diabetes of medical and healthcare is very high at each state. Diabetics can be controlled through proper self-care behaviors, risk of the complications like the disease of eyes; kidney; nerve and cardiovascular system can be deduced through positively blood sugar control and healthcare. PHR is a tool that can help diabetics to manage their diabetes self-care. The form of PHR was changed from paper chart to ePHR. Most of ePHR provides service for users to save and upload their own health records through the Internet and to access data by using computer. But the mobility of a computer is not so convenient and probably set on an immovable place. There are more people using mobile devices to communicate with others and get information through the mobile Internet. This study will build a mPHR system for diabetics and diabetics can use mobile phone upload their own health records and access their data from the Internet Questionnaires are being utilized as a measurement for the acceptance of mPHR system and the difference in self-care behaviors between diabetics using mPHR system before and after.
