Abstract :
This paper presents results of channel sounding experiments conducted in two types of corridors in an academic building - one enclosed from the top with recesses for windows on sides and the other open at the top with regularly spaced concrete columns on both sides. The corridors have also openings on either sides leading to hallways. The measurements were made at 1.80 GHz using a channel probing signal with a bandwidth of 60 MHz. The measured results are analyzed for CIR parameters like delay spread, average delay, and number of paths. The channel is also characterized in frequency domain.
