Abstract :
Recent research efforts into the safety problems of cellular phones carried out in Japan are reviewed. The results of the medium-term liver bioassay of rats exposed to 900 MHz and 1.5 GHz TDMA waveforms are summarized with a discussion on the findings. Some other ongoing studies promoted by the committee organized by the Japanese Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications are also briefly reviewed
