Abstract
The TSC and GTRI sea clutter models are empirical models with a theoretical dependency for wind direction. Observations collected during at-sea testing have forced a reappraisal of the wind aspect factor, as predicted and observed minima in the crosswind direction were not treated by the model. We modified the wind aspect factor to reflect theory and observation, and now have excellent agreement among model, theory, and observation.
