Abstract :
This paper gives the research of the design for the high power-density permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and its driving system. Firstly, it provides the guidance strategy of the control parameters and the research on the system stability. Then the paper gives the basic design parameters of high power-density PMSM and the finite element analysis results of the prototype motor. Meanwhile, the paper shows the experiment results of the high power-density motor and its driving system, on the efficiency map of the motor and the system. It has been proved by these results that the high power-density driving system, which has the advantages of high efficiency and high power-density, is especially fit for the fields with high-performance at high speed requirement.
