Abstract :
The noise mode conversion on the balanced line from the common-mode to the normal-mode was investigated. Two simple parallel traces with the injected common-mode voltage were considered for the mode conversion. The normal-mode voltage converted was calculated from the eight terminals circuit theory. The effect of the mutual coupling between traces on the mode conversion was also examined. As a result, it was found that the tight magnetic coupling between the traces gave less mode conversion
