Abstract :
With the development of WLAN (wireless local area network) technology, WLAN has been used in every walk of life. In this paper, we applied WLAN technology in oil field. In order to improve operational efficiency, and monitor the measure stations and single well in field, some oil extraction factory want to construct WLAN to access to the original network. The paper first constructed the WLAN plan on network topology and wireless AP (access point), then used the network communication simulation software OPNET to simulate a total network with WLAN connected into the original LAN, finally comparatively analysed the network performance on the throughput value and the Ftp download response time value. Through simulation data analysis, we think the whole network was stable and acceptable.
