Abstract :
Estimating project cost rapidly and accurately has important practical significance for cost control. According to the basic principles of the neural network and the analysis on the characteristics of the project, six project characteristic categories are identified as neural network input variables. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, the paper brings up the model of rapid estimation of project cost based on the BP Neural Network, and several finished residence projects are selected as actual samples. Test results show that the precision meets the estimation requirements well. Therefore, the application of BP Neural Network is effective in rapid estimation of project cost.
