Abstract :
In general, the characteristics of radio frequency power amplifier (RFPA) vary with many kinds of factors, such as the environment temperature, power supply etc., in order to guarantee the steady operation for the predistortion RFPA, the adaptive performance of the predistortion system seems very important. This paper presents a new adaptive optimization algorithm, namely, multi-directional search algorithm. The adaptive predistortion RFPA which adopts this algorithm is in possession of steady convergence property and can operate in optimum state all the time. The simulation result indicates that the predistortion RFPA system can converge more quickly and achieves improvement of 15 dB for out-of-band emission
