Abstract :
The raw water quality and treatment process of two water plants in Jinan city were analyzed for studying the effect on drinking water biological stability. The Assimilable Organic Carbon (AOC) and Biodegradable Dissolved Organic Carbon (BDOC) of eight sampling points were tested to determine the biological stability of drinking water. The result showed that the AOC indicator gradually increased from April to July. The average of AOC tested were 59.89ug/L (Yuqing) and 52.95ug/L (Quahua water plant) indicating that the biological stability in Quehua was higher than that in Yuqing water plant based on different treatment process. The correlation coefficient analysis between AOC and BDOC was 0.702, indicating that the two indices had relatively higher correlation.
