Abstract :
The demands of surveying and mapping products in the management of digital city is increasingly high, the traditional 4D products cannot comfort the demands. With the properties of real-time, integrity, readable, measurable and can be tapped, the 5th surveying and mapping product, can provide information, which is more intuitive and effective compared with the traditional 4D products. Several flaws including low efficiency, inaccurate, slow update, etc. of traditional 4D products based system could be improved, either. The management of Nanshan district of Shenzhen city has achieved success, while some problems have been exposed as well. Through the phase 2 project of Nanshan district management system, which is integrated the DMI into the system, the service and management of whole district have made a big step from abstract electronic map to Intuitive real images.
