Abstract :
Lightning protectors for 10 Base-5, 10 Base-T, and 100 Base-T LAN equipment have been developed, providing high-quality and inexpensive surge protection with avalanche diodes, variable resistors, and gas tube arrestors. Tap connectors are used with coaxial cables and shielded modular connectors with twisted pair cables, reducing the time and effort needed to attach the protectors
