Abstract :
TDMA scheme is widely used for resolving non-deterministic problem in Ethernet. The message delay of the network is very important for real-time control system. In this paper, message delay in TDMA system is studied. A delay model is built. The probability distribution function and the expectation of message resident time are derived, and the numerical simulation results are presented. These results give us a theoretical base for building a real-time control system based on Ethernet.
