Abstract :
This paper presents and compares some topologies based on a single-stage for electronic ballast. These topologies have been presented and studied in several papers. The integration of DC-to-DC converters and half-bridge resonant inverters is implemented in all topologies presented. DC-to-DC converters are used to provide a high input power factor, enough to satisfy the present standard requirements. The half-bridge LC resonant inverter has a double function of ignite and supply the fluorescent lamp.
