Welcome message

The goal of ISAHUC´06 is to provide a forum for researchers, scientists, and engineers working in the academia and the industries around the world to share their experiences, new ideas, and results in the areas of mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, and ubiquitous computing systems. Although there are a plenty of conferences, workshops, and symposia that have been currently held worldwide, we intended to hold ISAHUC´06 in India to promote the visibility of a great body of researchers, and their works in the se areas to the international community. Sixty four papers were accepted for the Symposium, which were categorized as full papers (6 pages), short papers (4 pages), and poster papers (2 pages). The classification was done based on the review reports for the papers that were received by the organizing committee. All papers were reviewed by a team of experts, many of whom are intemationally recognized for their works in these areas. This enabled us to establish a certain standard for most of the accepted papers. We thank all authors who took interest in the Symposium, and considered it a platform to present, and publish their research results, irrespective of whether their papers were accepted or not. Due to logistical, and other constraints, only a few papers could be accepted for inclusion in the proceedings.
