Usage of smart mobile device at the telemedicine

This study proposes a mobile platform based service system for augmented medical diagnosis and treatment information. This system allows patients to access a mobile platform to conduct self-diagnosis and testing. Through a test information database, specialist information database, and decision-making support mechanism, this system assists patients in self-diagnosis, self-health management, and the management of scheduled visits with physicians. This system could raise the quality of medical service, provide patients adequate scheduling information concerning consultation with physicians, improve the performance of hospital operations, strengthen the accuracy and immediacy of medical diagnosis, and improve the quality of service for patients visiting doctors.
