Abstract :
Deviation rectification of buildings is an arduous task due to its technical difficulty and high risk. In this paper, firstly based on a full investigation of inclined buildings in one residential district, the causes leading to uneven settlement of buildings are stated, and then the process of building deviation rectification through excavation is briefly described. Subsequently, simulation of rectification using finite element software ABAQUS is presented in details. Finally, the numerical simulations considering the effect of the construction order and the amount of drawing soil are carried out by ABAQUS and some helpful advice is presented to the designers and constructors.
