Abstract :
With the development of automobile industry, the number of private cars is increasing more rapidly than ever. In developing countries such as China, the crowded traffic which is caused by large quantities of private cars has brought very serious and bad effect to the development of some cities. Under this circumstance, people realize that the best way to solve the crowded traffic problem is to construct an Intelligent Traffic System to improve traffic efficiency. This paper proposes Citis, which is an Intelligent Traffic Information System based on cloud computing to provide effective and accurate intelligent traffic service by processing and analyzing dynamic traffic information, conducting travel plans and planning drive routes in time. This paper also describes the application of cloud computing technology, dynamic navigation technology and mobile communication technology in traffic information in detail. The case study shows that Citis has some advantages in traffic management compared to existing methods.
