Abstract :
In this paper, a novel prototype of pulse density modulation (PDM) voltage source type series inductor compensated load-resonant high-frequency inverter with a high voltage transformer is presented for driving a newly-developed silent discharge (SD) type ozone generating tube load. The PDM power regulation characteristics and operating performances of this ozone generating tube load driven by this load resonant inverter using IGBT modules are illustrated from a practical point of view, which can operate under stable conditions of PDM and PWM hybrid control strategy implemented by DSP. The effectiveness of this high-frequency inverter type ozonizer is proved in experiment, together with the simulation results
