Abstract :
In terms of the rapidly growth requirements of mobile applications, AVS mobile profile standardization process was started in September 2008 and finalized in September 2009. Several coding tools were developed and selected for the mobile profile. Due to the various aspects of mobile application, the tools can be categorized into three sub-sets: 1. Coding performance improvement tools, 2. Subjective quality tool, and 3. Error resilience tools. An overview of the technical features and the analysis of the performances of AVS mobile profile in those aspects, as well as the performance comparisons with other state-of-art standards are provided in this paper.
