Abstract
The basic principle of direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDS) and the design method of active transistor multiplier are introduced in this paper. RF signal source with 40~160MHz output frequency range is designed,which is realized by DDS and active transistor multiplier. The influence factor of the output power and efficiency of multiplier is analysized. An experimental circuit was fabricated with traditional PCB process, measured results shows that the output frequency of the signal source is stable, and output power>;-10dBm.
