Abstract :
Vehicle will cross the pole when using the Pc-Crash to reconstruct a side pole impact accident. In order to overcome this problem, a fractional step method based on Pc-Crash was proposed. In this method, the motion of the vehicle before impact is reconstructed firstly, and then the impact between the vehicle and the pole will be reconstructed, these two steps will be repeated to obtain a reasonable simulation results. Finally, a side pole impact accident was given, the steps of the fractional step method were demonstrated, and results showed that this new method is feasible in practice. The practical step method will reduce the difficulty of accident reconstruction and make the reconstruction results more credible.
