Abstract :
In this paper, we develop a face recognition method based on multiple rigid regions matching for recognizing 3D facial models. Firstly, an automatic nose tip location and pose correction method is proposed. Then we present a 3D rigid regions extraction method. Finally, we test the proposed 3D face recognition on CAIAS 3D face database, and conclude that it is feasible to utilize multiple rigid regions on 3D face recognition.
