Abstract
In this computer age, the number of small scale software organizations is growing rapidly. A major known problem is chaotic development process yielding low quality of products and unrepeatable successes. This problem has made the survival effort even harder and decreasing the potency of the organization to grow bigger. Two things that are needed to be stressed are the set up of a process model and the effort to implement continuous software process improvement (SPI). However, small scale organizations have specific characteristics that should be carefully considered in choosing an appropriate process model and SPI concept. A qualitative-ethnographic study was chosen to get an in depth understanding of the specific context, that was conducted on a small organization. A recommendation is proposed based on the insight that is fit for the organization.
