Abstract :
This paper presents a new application for band-edge filters to blindly estimate carrier offsets that are larger than the subcarrier spacing in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems. The proposed scheme is shown to have a high accuracy and wide frequency acquisition range. The system performance is assessed over AWGN channel using different pulse shaping filters and compared with theoretical bound.
