Abstract
This paper proposes an algorithm for fast transmit power control of mobiles in a WCDMA network using time division duplex (TDD). The performance of the proposed algorithm is addressed through computer simulations in a multi-path fading channel. Effects of transmission burst length, as well as effects of error either in channel measurement or in synchronization, and error in both are also addressed. Simulation results show that the algorithm performs very well under no errors in channel measurement and synchronization.
