Abstract :
In this paper, adaptive modulation technique is applied to STS-based CDMA system to improve the data throughput of the downlink in different fading channels. The contribution in this paper is using new thresholds for adaptation procedure in different fading environments. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed thresholds are appropriate for realistic wireless channels.
