Abstract :
In this paper, the more accurate electrical model of the commercial 2mm hard metric connector (HM connector) is presented for the over GHz frequency circuit model. we propose the equivalent circuit model based on S-parameter measurement with on-board calibration process. We divide the HM connector pins into three sections (the male, mating and female part) for more exact modeling. The measured results based on the S-parameter measurement and the fitted results using the equivalent model are close to each other up to 2GHz. The reliability of the model parameters are confirmed by the eye diagram measurement and simulation.
