Abstract
This paper presents the combination of the local polynomial Fourier transform and the Hough transform to detect chirp signals. By considering the improvement on the signal to noise ratio, the performance of the proposed combination can achieve significant performance improvement compared to the Wigner-Hough transform. Simulation results are also presented to show desirable performance particularly when the signal is distorted by heavy noises.
