Abstract
The six-port topologies are very suitable for software radio applications where a broadband RF stage can support multi-standard systems. In this paper, we introduce a new five-port architecture for direct conversion receivers with some advantages in compare to the previous structures. The analytical, simulation and the measurement results indicate that the proposed five-port direct receiver is able to perform MQAM and MPSK demodulations successfully.
