Abstract :
This paper proposes a hybrid algorithm for improved adaptive beamforming by combining the attributes of LMS and SMI algorithms. The proposed algorithm uses the LMS algorithm, which simple to implement and not computationally intensive, with SMI initialization in order to ensure fast convergence. Numerical results are presented to verify the improved convergence, accuracy, and computational efficiency of the proposed hybrid LMS/SMI algorithm.
