Abstract :
In order to meet the needs of application in high resolution seismic data acquisition, a kind of 24-bit high performance digital geophone was designed. The digital geophone was designed with MSP430F1232 as controller and a new kind of ferroelectric memory FM25L256 as data storage. The operation principle of FM25L256, the application interface circuit and testing program in C-language are introduced in the text. The testing program has been validated on the board, result shows that the FM25L256 has such characteristic: high-speed writing, right storage and high reliability. It is suitable for the design demanding of the digital geophone which is low power, small size, high-speed sampling and memory.
