  • Abstract
In the hybrid-source magnetotelluric detection, in order to receive the artificial source electromagnetism signal effectively, the synchronous electromagnetic signal reception programme based on Global Position System (GPS) was put forward. In this paper, the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) controls the transmitting system to send high-frequency electromagnetic waves with different frequencies. Using the GPS´s high-precision time benchmark, the time calibration of the transmitting system and the receiving system was achieved. And the discrepancy of the two system clock was under Is to make sure the transmitting signal received synchronously. The experiment proved that the transmitting signal can be received accurately and effectively by using this program.
