Abstract :
A recurring problem is considered in signal processing which is reconstruction based upon imperfect information. The authors describe two methods. The first one is a simple nonlinear method, based upon spectral analysis, for reconstructing two-dimensional (2-D) band-limited signals from nonuniform samples. The second method is an iterative technique. By using an intelligent initial condition, faster convergence can be obtained by a simple successive approximation. The feasibility of this procedure was demonstrated through examples of color image restoration when some of the pixels are lost
