Abstract :
We report a novel technique for detection of coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) signal in terahertz (THz) frequency region (THz-CARS). Two frequency-chirped broadband optical pulses are used as the pump and the CARS signal is detected in time-domain after the pulse compression. The results measured for several samples, such as GaSe, are presented and discussed.
