Abstract :
RF building block circuits that can reconfigure from one frequency to another are of interest in multifunction radios. Reconfigurable MEMS capacitors are integrated with on-chip inductors and transistors to design reconfigurable VCO and filter circuits. Electrothermal actuation of the MEMS capacitor leads to >400 MHz change in operating frequency.
