Abstract
In this work, an approach to an advanced spectrum management (ASM) framework in a multicell OFDMA network is given. The aim of this paper is to illustrate that an ASM operation over a multicell OFDMA scenario enables the efficient use of the available spectrum. Then, some spectrum bands could be released by primary or licensed spectrum holders in a geographical area to be shared with or rented to other secondary markets in a cognitive radio environment.
