Abstract
Based on voltage-second balance principle, a simple three-level SVM control algorithm is proposed in this paper. This algorithm can not only effectively simplify the calculation and reduce calculation time greatly, but also the neutral point voltage control can be implemented readily. The result from simulation shows that the control effect is same to that of the traditional SVM. Furthermore this algorithm does not need to perform the sine and cosine calculations, and thus it is more convenient and effective than the traditional SVM algorithm. In addition the sampling period can be shorten, and can be used to improve the controlling effect of three-level inverter.
